Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 1, 2026
HomePaymentHQ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
We collect very little information about you directly. The website is designed to run almost entirely in your browser, and the values you enter into our calculators are never sent to our servers; they are stored locally in your own browser’s storage so the site can remember your inputs between visits.
We do, however, collect or receive the following:
- Server log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard log information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you view, the time of your visit, and the referring website.
- Analytics data. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, popular pages, country-level location). We do not use analytics to identify individual users.
- Information you voluntarily provide. If you contact us by email, we will receive whatever information you choose to share with us in that message.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We and our advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Functional storage — to remember the values you enter into our calculators so they persist between visits.
- Analytics cookies — to measure aggregate site traffic.
- Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense and other advertising partners to serve and measure ads (see the next section).
You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies will not break the calculator functionality but will reset your saved inputs each visit.
3. Third-party advertising and Google AdSense
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense and may use other third-party advertising networks. These vendors may use cookies (including Google’s DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices and networkadvertising.org/choices.
4. Affiliate links
Some links on this site lead to third-party lenders, brokers, and financial services. If you click one of these links and complete an action with that partner, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These partnerships do not influence our calculations or editorial decisions.
5. How we use information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain the website
- Understand how the site is being used so we can improve it
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Display relevant advertisements through our advertising partners
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with the following categories of third parties: (a) hosting and analytics providers that operate the technical infrastructure of the site, (b) advertising partners as described above, and (c) authorities when required by law.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise those rights, contact us at the email address below.
California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this right by emailing us or by using the opt-out tools linked in the advertising section above.
8. Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data retention and security
Server logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized. Calculator inputs you save are stored only in your browser and remain there until you clear them. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
